I have to admit.... It's been eating me alive and just... Okay. Deep breath.

I'm an in-class sketcher.

That means I rarely wind up drawing on clean, non-lined paper and so I never actually wind up posting my drawings online because that would invite an onslaught of "you're not a real artist! where's the nice paper? put some effort in!"

Alas, they are correct. I am hopelessly lazy and too much of a spend-thrift to care. (Sketch paper is costly frown.gif) But! I have decided, I no longer care. So these are some in class sketches, many lined with blue, others with typed words seeping through the page to mar the faces of the characters on the other side. But I care not! Not anymore! Viva la revolution!

Also, I don't have photoshop on my school computer to fix these defects so.... :: cough ::

Anyhoo! Enjoy.

Bill and Fleur
I know Bill's eye is fine in the book, but I was having fun...

Daddy
Want to guess who's going to be in the background?

Dance!

A few sketches of the different ages...
The Many Faces of Hermione
The Many Faces of Ron

This is the newest, did it today actually. I put R and H in robes because it always astounds me how often we see them in muggle clothing. Are they not wizard and witch? Would they not conform to society's proper clothing?
Moments

Done!

Wow. I quite like these sketches, they're pretty good. I especially like the serious/smouldering look on Ron's face in Dance!

Moments is quite nice too...actually I liked them all in their own ways, I'm jealous. I wish I could draw/sketch frown.gif I can't even do a straight line with a pencil and a ruler wink.gif

I also like the "natural" presentation of them too (i.e. the writing and lines in the background wink.gif) I think it gives them a more original sort of raw appeal.

I hope you share more in the future smile.gif

Ooh, I love these! You're not giving yourself enough credit, because I wasn't looking at the lines or words at all, just the lovely sketches. The "Daddy" ones were especially great, and Bill was very Bill-like. I think my favorite was old man Ron, though. It made me smile. smile.gif

Really lovely, tamashii! I liked the many faces of Hermione because I had forgotten about her teeth, so it made me smile. They are all really good. People are a hard thing to draw (I know...I've tried!) so I think it's fabulous that you can. smile.gif I'm glad you didn't keep from showing them just because of the paper they're on. It doesn't take away from the pictures at all. Actually, I think it adds a little something, like davedavedave said. They have a really natural quality.

I am loving your character interpretations. I think the Bill/Fleur one is my favorite - they seem like real people.... intense, interesting. It's almost like I'm observing them somewhere.

Great job. smile.gif

They were great. I really liked the Moments. I would love to be able to draw and sketch like that. I, like davedavedave, can barely draw a line with a pencil and a ruler. They were awesome. Well done.
