Hello,

I'm editing this topic as my story is now up here on Checkmated smile.gif - and thanks to my wonderful beta amber, it's better than ever!

From a Muggle's Point of View (Rated R) is the story of Caroline Young. She's a Muggle, living in London and doing things everyone likes to do. Except that this Christmas, everything will become a little bit more magical for her. A rollercoaster romance ensues.

Charlie Weasley/Caroline Young. (And of course a side-helping of our favourites R/Hr, G/H, R/T and many more)

So, any comments about the fic, let me know sosad.gif

~Ramona

My apologies for the double post, I've edited the first post but it didn't bring it back up. I hope this is okay?

I'm really loving this story. I actually have it on my desktop as we speak, and I'm in the process of reading the latest chapter. The OC, Caroline, is really likeable and...personable, I think. I'm very curious to know more about her! And I can't wait to see her and Charlie's relationship evolve. You're doing a great job with it and I can't wait to read more.

Oh, thank you so much! love.gif Chapter 6 went up today also and Chapter 7's in the queue smile.gif
You will know more about her soon - and also about Bill/Fleur. It's not going to be an easy road to travel on once the subtle differences between Muggle and Wizard world show up in everyday life wink.gif

Oh, and I might come back to you about the excerpt if you don't mind... I've changed a few things and would love your opinion on it sosad.gif

Well not the latest chapter since when I typed that it was about a week ago and I left it there since I was away for about a week. But yay, now I can read 4 chapters in one go! The whole story is finished, right?

Oh, I hope you're enjoying those 4 chapters! Chapter 7 should be up soon also.

No, the whole story is not complete yet - I have about half of it completed... 16 chapters to be exact. Hopefully I will have chapter 17 written out by the time 16 is up.

So since I pulled an all-nighter last night, reading was included in my nocturnal activities. And I got to read the rest of the chapters in one lump sum. Seriously, I can't wait for F&G to tease Caroline, because I know it's gonna happen. Can't wait to read 7! This time I really do have it up, btw!

icon_mrgreen.gif Lovely, I'm glad you seem to enjoy the story so far! F & G are quite tame, really... I mean, they'd never tease anyone, would they? wink.gif

Chapter 9's up since today also. Happy weekend to you!

I must confess that resisted reading this story for, well since it first appeared in the updates. Don't know why but I just didn't. I have been starving for some good stories since I cannot write them myself. The three or four sites that I visit for some reason have had a dearth of new stuff (NaNoWriMo and what not) so I came looking for something, ANYTHING to read.

GOBSMACKED oro.gif absotively posilutely gobsmacked by your prowess. If I thought that I could sit on your shoulder (or your beta's) and read ahead, I would do it. I am a very impatient, fast reader who ends up reading stories that I love over and over. In fact I have made it a policy to try and not read a story unless one of three things happen: 1) It is completed; 2) there are a ton of chapters with a good story framework and/or 3) I know the author's previous works. I think that my subscription page has probably 30 stories on it with maybe one-third of them completed stories. I have followed authors to other sites and have resorted to shameless begging for more!!

Congratulations (!?!?!?) you have joined the ranks of must read stories. I check this computer more times a day than is reasonable hoping against hope that more than one chapter will have been uploaded. I am a sick sick person and you are a very talented one!

From chapter 9:

I made my way into the kitchen and filled my shiny new kettle (an early Christmas gift I’d gotten myself) with water. It was translucent, and you could see the water bubble away happily inside.

Are there such kettles and where would I find one? What is the brand name?

Okay, I am now certifiable. Having been spoiled with morning updates over the past few days, I WOKE UP twice in the early morning hours to come in and check to see if CW had come back to bed or not. All the while when I should have been sleepy.gif

PBM you are a very clever writer and for that, I thank you.

Again, thanks so much for your kind reviews and comments! Hopefully pig.gif will bring news of an update soon! Chapter 12 needs a little bit of tweaking first wink.gif

Well another bleak and lonely morning with no update so I thought a re-read was in order. love.gif

Just thought perhaps you might like to go back to chapter one where you give Charlie hazel eyes and change it to the brown that he has through out the rest of the story. Didn't want to leave it in the review section as it is a mere trifle but thought you might like to change it.

Then again, maybe not. Let's you know who is actually CONSUMING the story, word by word laugh.gif

LOL... thank you for pointing that out - but isn't hazel a shade of brown? It'll be 'hazeling/browning' (with of course 'green speck-ling') all through the story. I swap and change those two because I've this thing about word repetition. I'm obsessed with it - it's one of those quirks I have.

Thanks again though! love.gif

And chapter 12 will be up hopefully soon - edited it a bit *cough* almost an extra 1000 words, so it's deliciously long now icon_mrgreen.gif

R

EDIT - PS: Chapter 12 is up! And have a great weekend everyone icon_mrgreen.gif

Interesting when I went and looked up a definition of hazel eyes. I have hazel eyes and mine fluctuate between blue and green........and it appears that that seems to be the most common definition however there is a mention of sometimes brown.

I just have never experienced the browness in my hazel nor in my family's hazel.

So I will be quiet now and wait patiently to see how Caro deals with her sticky wicket. lookaround.gif

icon_mrgreen.gif I suppose it depends on the light wink.gif

I hope you enjoyed Caro's sticky wicket hehe... chapter 14 should be up soon, I will add it to the queue later on today.

Only 14, 15 and 16 are finished - so there will be a little wait for chapter 17 (half finished). I'll do my best to have it done right in time for Christmas love.gif

Please, please, please be gentle. Poor Bill. I still think (hope) he is jumping to conclusions about Fleur. It wouldn't be the first time in this story.

Caro is right. It has got to hurt Bill that his family has instantly accepted Caro when they quite obviously and publicly snubbed Fleur. It doesn't matter that the family now APPEARS to have been right about Fleur. The rejection still hurt Bill. I wonder if anyone besides Caro realizes just how much that hurt him.

Sorry to get tied up in a subplot.
